Welcome to the editorial team of Translation Spaces: A Multidisciplinary, Multimedia, and Multilingual Journal of Translation, a new annual journal within John Benjamins Publishing`s Translation & Interpreting Studies Division. We are pleased to have an opportunity to work with you on this exciting endeavor and sincerely thank you for contributing your time and expertise to making this vision a reality.

We hope that by engaging the emerging issues born of the interactions between technology, society and translation in these contemporary times, we will be successful in creating a stimulating and substantive dialogue that treads unfamiliar terrain and opens avenues for research and practice. The global, interdisciplinary impact of translation seems ubiquitous yet unexamined. With your help we hope to begin a rigorous and critical examination of the place of translation in modern society.
